Appearance: Below, bright green to gray-green with a nearly straight white postmedian line (“white-lined” population); lower part of forewing gray. Above, pale to dark brown.
Wingspan: Small; 3/4 to 1 1/8 inch.
Habitat: Open hillsides, canyon slopes and washes; plains, foothills, montane.
Flight Times: April to May; one brood.
Larval Foodplant: Various species of buckwheat (Eriogonum).
